Lesson 1: Preparing for Hiking Trip (Part 1)

Pupils were asked to plan for a hiking trip and 

decide the items they need from a list provided...

Class divided into 2 groups with 2 facilitators...

Pupils working in their groups...

Pupils searching for the checklist items on cut out papers pasted on the
walls and floor, snatching them as fast as possible....

Groups given different items to think of how they can make use of
them in creative ways, applicable to the hiking trip if possible...

Reflection time for the pupils in their classroom...

Reflection done by one of the pupils in P2R! Well done!

Lesson 2: Preparing for Hiking Trip (Part 2)

 Pupils getting ready for a little competition...

 Pupils in each group are given specific roles to play 
e.g. 'Researchers, Problem solvers etc'.

'Researchers' are the ones going into the circle to get papers to bring 

back to their own group to solve the puzzles...

 'Problem Solvers' trying to piece up the puzzles together...

Game was set up in a way that required the different groups to help each other, 

exchange their papers with one another to complete the puzzle together...

There was intense competition, quarrels at times, unhappy faces, finger-pointing...

At the end of the day, it was another good learning experience 

for the pupils during reflection...

Another fruitful lesson...


Lesson 3: Preparing for Hiking Trip (Part 3)

pupils being blindfolded and made to hunt for pictures...

having fun;lost in the grassy patch...

Compiling all the 'hunted' pictures and pairing them up...

pupils working together as a team....

outdoors, cooperative learning, hands-on... these are all important 
areas for children to be engaged in...


Final Lesson : Hiking Trip at Hortpark

 a rainy day at Hortpark....

 raincoat on.. ready to go...

fully covered and 'rain-proof'...

thinking.....,"will i get wet in the rain?..."

having trouble wearing her raincoat...

planning the route ahead...

i have no raincoat, but i've got an umbrella!! smile...

PAL: Educational Gymnastics - Lesson 3

Lesson held in open area instead as hall was occupied by 
tables and chairs arranged for examinations.... 

Pupils grouped into 3s to perform the balancing 
stretches shown in the picture cards....
